Old Vines, New Ingredients, Consumers In the Dark

How convenient… after posting yesterday about bland, homogeneous inexpensive wines, I came across this video interview with Dan Berger.  I’d never heard of Mega Purple before, and I imagine most of the winemakers that use it don’t want consumers to know about.

I don’t how long Mega Purple has been around; this is the first I’ve heard of it.  It’s highly unlikely that winery representatives include Mega Purple in their presentations to a wholesale distributor’s sales staff.
